Patience has extraordinary status
and importance in the Holy Quran and Islam. Patience is one of the most favorite
deeds for which a lot of Verses in the Holy Quran are available. Allah Almighty
has enlightened the importance of patience in the Holy Quran and demanded
patience so the truth may be present in this world. It has been stated in the
Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that:
“There is no faith for the one who has no patience”. Due to his lack of
patience, he is deprived of the ability to maintain his faith in difficult
times.
A person who loves Almighty Allah finds it much easier to be patient and to persevere. This is because he sees everything as coming from Allah, and if it comes from Allah, there must be a reason for it. A person who loves wants the Beloved to see him in the best of states, and so he proves the best of patience. Patience is a virtue, which enables the individual to proceed towards worthy goals.
